100 word challenge Term three, week two.

The crescent moon grows thinner in the sky. As it shrinks, he reaches out, and grabs it. He pulls back his hands, and gently opens them. In his hands, lies a small dragon, pale as the moon, glowing faintly as it sleeps. He looks back to the sky. The moon has disappeared.

Back in his cottage, he prepares a small meal of chicken and wheat, before placing it in front of the dragon. As it gulps down the food, it begins regaining it’s glow, and it’s size. Within a fortnight, it’ll reclaim it’s position in the sky, as the moon.

    Hi Georgina
This is the most beautiful, evocative 100WC. The language you have chosen is so interesting and the writing is truly sophisticated. I was truly touched when I read it. Thank you.
